Senior Members Program

Please come join our senior meetings the first and third Tuesday of the month at 1830 (6:30 PM) at the Nampa Airport 121 Municipal Drive, Nampa ID, 83687. Click here for Map

Senior members are vital to all of the CAP missions and certainly to the Nampa Composite Squadron.  Members can receive training in emergency services, first aid, and disaster relief.  CAP flies 95 percent of all federal inland search and rescue missions, and is credited with saving approximately 100 lives per year.  Pilots and observers coordinate with teams on the ground to support emergency services missions.  CAP teams are involved in disaster relief, flying officials to remote locations, transporting medical supplies and performing damage assessment.

Senior members can also work with cadets by giving orientation flights, teaching aerospace education classes, mentoring and organizing cadet activities.

Members will begin by choosing one or more specialty tracks.  They will work toward specialty track ratings, beginning with Technician, then Senior and finally achieving a Master rating.  Specialty tracks include:

Personnel
Public Affairs
 Finance
 Cadet Programs
 Logistics
 Flight Operations
 Emergency Services
 Communications
 Aerospace Education
 Safety
 Moral Leadership
 Chaplaincy

These are just some of the specialty tracks.  Seniors can also attend National Cadet Special Activities to participate and supervise cadets.  Seniors can travel to another country, attend one of the world's largest air shows, or mentor cadet officers.  Senior membership provides a wealth of opportunities.

There are also opportunities for those who would like to support CAP programs, but do not have the time to attend regular meetings and activities.

Stop by a meeting to talk to current senior members and we can tell you more about the program!
